I’m the kind of person who stands in the grocery aisle comparing brands of paper towels for ten minutes. So, when my fiancé and I decided to get a Labradoodle, we searched high and low for months to find the best breeder and pups. Our search led us to Heather Goines. By far, Heather was the most knowledgeable, responsible, honest, responsive, and forthright breeder we spoke with. Although we originally wanted a cream colored pup, we settled on a chocolate just for the peace of mind of working with Heather. And, boy, are we glad! It turns out that doing your homework really pays off.

Our little “Chewbacca” (named for obvious reasons) is perfect! He has the perfect wooly coat. He has the lovely blocky lab face, unlike most of the other doodle pups we’ve seen. He is as affectionate and friendly as any dog out there. He is healthy as an ox and will probably stay that way, as both his parents have been extensively tested for hip and eye health. He is also startlingly smart….he was basically housetrained by instinct and he learned sit, stay and shake in his first week with us. He is the absolute star of his puppy class and is ogled over everywhere we go. We are so pleased that we plan to purchase a female from Heather’s next litter.
